Low Back Pain

Low back pain is one of the most common neuro-muscular complaints afflicting the community. Approximately 8 in 10 people experience at least one episode of low back pain, costing billions of dollars per year in lost productivity and time off work. Also a lot of pain and discomfort. Pain just isn’t fun!

There are a variety of different causes of low-back pain, ranging from macro-trauma (e.g. a fall, sporting injury, etc.), repetitive activities like lifting and twisting, arthritis, and so on.

Naturally there is a plethora of diferent types of treatment out there, some effective, some less so. The chiropractic approach involves a thorough history and comprehensive physical examination to get as much detail as possible. Some cases may require X-Rays or further complex investigation. You will be advised as to what we consider is appropriate or necessary. Every presentation is judged on its merits.

There is a variety of methods that are utilized ranging from gentle chiropractic spinal adjustments through to gentle stretching of muscle. We have also found that a rehabilitation program of exercise can be helpful in some peoples’ cases. A great way to get back into life!
